Genevieve Franke
Veterinarian & Practice Owner (Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honors))
Genevieve studied at the University of Queensland and had been working at both a small animal clinic near Brisbane and a busy house call company prior to moving down to Jervis Bay. Over the years she has brought home countless orphaned animals. Of these, a few have never left and now rule the household she shares with her partner down by the beautiful Jervis Bay beaches.
Genevieve has an interest in all things dermatology and is also passionate about providing pain management for our ageing pets. She is constantly researching and completing additional training on the best methods to help identify and manage pain in our companions. She has also undergone further training in peaceful euthanasia and prides herself on giving every pet a calm, loving and pain-free goodbye when it is their time.
Outside of work, Genevieve enjoys spending time with Fish (a big tabby boy), Bear (the smoochiest little black girl), Ash (the skinny Houdini), Selkie (the prettiest ragdoll), Bug (a little rescue Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) and her partner, in that order, and feels that the best things in life come in the small fluffy packages!
